Review of The Break-Up (2006) by Arseniy V — 08 Oct 2009
The content being somewhat close to home for me, as well as my exceedingly low expectations of the picture, are both sure to be swaying my opinion somewhat. Yet still, I gotta say, this is quite the pleasant, offbeat (hell, "rebellious" by the airtight "relationship comedy" standards I'm used to) little surprise.
Not only is it packed with all sorts of downright tasteful little moments delivered by the various wonderful performers taking part here, not only are the guys behind the scenes quite consistent at nurturing such moments, but this structure as a whole (in its own subtle, nonchalant way) has a rather unique feel to it.
