Review of The Boys from Brazil (1978) by Ivan L — 08 Sep 2008
Seriously? Oh, man, this one was a bit hammy for me. I mean, it's not terrible, but... Peck and Olivier are uber-hams in this one. I've never been a big fan of Olivier on screen - I think his style is better suited to the stage.
The story is more than a little ridiculous. The kid? Let's just say I continue to hate kid actors. And the climactic confrontation is practically laughable. Definitely a lazy afternoon film.
