Review of The Boys Are Back (2009) by Cristian B — 28 Oct 2009
An honest and moving film about the complicated relationships between fathers and sons and learning to move on when a loved one dies. Owen, in one of his best performances, gives a subtle and touching performance.
The film doesn't hit the audience over the head with sentimentality. Instead, the emotions are honestly earned and there is plenty of humor, thanks to the skills of director Hicks and the performances of Owen and the young boys.
