Review of The Boys Are Back (2009) by Mona G — 31 Jan 2010
Sentimental without being overwhelming, this movie portrays how a father, a globetrotting sports correspondent for an Australian newspaper is forced to re-prioritize his life and go through the learning curve of connecting with his sons in the aftermath of a sudden family tragedy.
I would rate it as one of the best movies I have seen in a long time. Also, since the movie is set during the 2009 Australian Open, it was the perfect time to watch it. Hal Lindes's background score is also very good.
