Review of The Boys Are Back (2009) by Brian D — 03 Feb 2010
Five very big stars for this outstanding movie. Clive Owen as never been better as a father coming to term after his second wife dies of cancer and is left being a single parent to he?s five year old son.
Also he?s other son from he?s first marriage (who is 13) turns up to live with them from England. What we have here is a chick?s flick for the guys or maybe any father out there. Being a father myself I could relate to sum of the things portrait in this and felt for Clive Owen character.
The use of location adds to the films look and feel and the performance from the young star is so good. I haven?t seen a movie this moving or heart felt in a very long time. A surprise hit for me and recommend this to anyone.
