Review of The Boys Are Back (2009) by Ray P — 22 Aug 2010
Liked a lot more than I expected and not the cliched sob-fest I thought it would be. Very surprised Owen did not get Oscar consideration as an Australian sports writer who's wife suddenly dies and he is left alone to raise a young son.
It is only when the teen-aged, British, son from his first marraige comes to stay with them that they become a quirky but cohesive unit. Well done with great cinematography.
