Review of The Boy Who Could Fly (1986) by Robert M — 03 Aug 2009
This is my all-time favorite movie. I love the theme of not giving up. I like how it uses a paper airplane as a symbol of overcoming your challenges.
My favorite scene in the whole movie is when Lewis goes out in the rain storm and digs out his G.I. Joe. When he buried his G.I. Joe, he had pretty much given up on life and was following his dad's path. When he digs it back up, it shows he has renewed strength.
I think everyone should have their own paper airplane displayed in a prominent location to remind us that challenges do not stop us, they just make us stronger.
