Review of The Boy Next Door (2015) by Andres R — 22 Jan 2015
Well as expected this was really bad. You can tell Ryan Guzman tries really hard for his acting to be natural and not cheesy or lame. A valiant effort on his part with what he was given and props for showing some versatility away from his Step Up role.
Jennifer Lopez does what she does best and plays another sort of damsel in distress kind of character. It puts you in the mindset of her movie years ago, "Enough". The plot of this really is bad as expected as well as the acting from practically everyone.
It keeps you entertained whether you were scoffing at it or just seeing how bad it's going to get and truly it does get worse. Watching this movie in theaters would be an absolute waste for you by yourself and not as much fun as you would think for you and your friends to make fun of together.
The ending is the absolute worst. It's looks like they just threw the ending together just so they can be done.
