Review of The Boy (2016) by Lee W — 04 Sep 2016
The film is interesting, very creepy also it's beautifully shot not to mention the leads Lauren Cohan and Rupert Evans were good they have great chemistry. Cohan plays Greta she takes a job as a nanny, when she realizes that it's a doll named Brahms.
The parents treat the doll as if it were real the doll helps the parents cope with the death of the actual Brahms twenty-years prior. Ruper Evans plays Malcolm he brings groceries for the family. They leave Greta a list of instructions to do with Brahms and she violates the list and stuff happens which she thinks Brahms is alive.
The script by Stacey Menear has cliches, multiple cheap jump scares but it has a unique premise. 3/5 stars.
