Review of The Boxtrolls (2014) by Ian Y — 13 Oct 2014

The film was enjoyable. The characters were cute and entertaining the story was simple and well constructed. Unfortunately, it wasn't amazingly compelling. The animation was impressive, made more so by the end philosophical sequence in the credits.

That minute or two would be a sweet short film by itself easily worthy of 4 stars. Basically, if you watch this make sure you watch the bit in the credits or skip the film and watch the bits in the credits.
