Laika's first offering to not have supernatural elements, The Boxtrolls is a grand triumph. its the longest stop motion film to date, with incredible artistic design to accent the solid story. Impish creatures called Boxtrolls like to rummage through the trash and fix things, but dastardly ambitious villain Archibald Snatcher wants them all gone so he can be one of the elite.
With beautiful visuals and a solid moral to go with it all, The Boxtrolls is a fun fantasy mix of Victorian England and steampunk hijinks.
