Since this movie was developed with primarily children in mind, it was easy to understand where the story was heading far in advance. But, that doesn't mean The Boxtrolls wasn't extremely entertaining.
The detail, dedication, and artistry it takes to create a movie in this style is absolutely mind boggling. Visually, The Boxtrolls rivals that of solely computer animated films with wonderful art direction as well as character and setting designs.
This studio has released several stopmotion features, and I find The Boxtrolls being the best one yet.
