The humor is a little darker than most animated films and seems like it's something that would go over most kids' heads. The story seems likes it's meant for kids but is written in a way that adults will probably appreciate more.
Think of it kind of like corpse bride. Has a charm to it if you like those macabre sort of animated films. Was a fun watch.
