Review of The Boxtrolls (2014) by Natasha H — 19 Oct 2014
The magic of claymation was fully realized in this imaginative story. Unfortunately most of the humans have an unsavory & vapid character, which left a scum on the shine of this film. An odd reaction to a cheese allergy was portrayed in such a grotesque way that the young friend I saw the film with was too traumatized to watch.
It was well cast and well executed but ultimately too dark for me to really enjoy it.
