Review of The Boxtrolls (2014) by Michael J — 07 Mar 2015
While my 9 year-old enjoyed it, the film did not bring much excitement or humor with its plot. What sets this apart from Coraline and ParaNorman, is that Boxtrolls lacks the alluring presence of the fantastical, and leaves us with the a sad, at times poignant, tale of reading beyond the "box" cover and appreciating what is inside.
