Review of The Boxer (1997) by Mark D — 11 Jul 2008
Day-Lewis and Watson are great to watch in this typical yet sincere variation of the inspirational sports film set in terrorism-ravaged Belfast. Predictable to be sure, but the downbeat tone and the dark, tense atmosphere contrasted with the film's hopeful message keeps it believable.
and watchable.
