Review of The Box (2009) by Kelsy M — 14 Mar 2011
The Box is an alright movie that mainly struggles with not knowing what type of movie it wants to be. It starts off with a real mystery which leaves you wondering what's happening. However, without ruining the plot, it becomes a little bit sci-fi.
The transition sounds illogical when you write it down on paper and really it is a bit of a problem with this movie. Still I didn't have any serious problems with this movie and there still was that mystery with me wanting to know what was happening.
Some parts didn't seem to quite make sense and I still don't know why they were even in the movie. Namely where James Marsden has to choose which doorway to go through. Also near the end, it seems stretched out and they could've already finished the movie.
Still The Box is an alright movie. The Box succeeds at grabbing your attention but doesn't offer you much more than that.
