Review of The Box (2009) by Robert I — 22 Jan 2013

Here's my problem with this film: The original story was fluff. There wasn't much to it. So Kelly has expanded it into a deep, involving conspiracy that I found interesting and even liked that no one came out to explain what the hell was going on.

But... Does the back story give the movie any more emotional resonance? No. It's set dressing. That's a shame cause why didn't Kelly just make a different movie altogether!? To serve his own ideas, not to use his ideas to serve a bulls*** story.
