Review of The Bourne Supremacy (2004) by Darren J — 05 Aug 2012
Well, Julia Stiles gets to do some acting in this one. I mean, she delivers lines that actually matter, she panics, she even cries. So that's good. Character inconsistencies abound in Bourne. Also a lot of close-ups of Matt Damon's sweat.
A lot of canned speeches about how someone had to die because of xyz, and some sort of half-baked philosophical "you were made as a weapon, that's all you can be" bullshit. But the action's still good.
Or decent I guess. I don't know. There's this drive to finish out a trilogy that supersedes the need for quality.
