Review of The Bourne Supremacy (2004) by Oxana . — 26 Oct 2012
Following "The Bourne Identity", Jason Bourne has gone off the radar with the love of his life - yet his past comes knocking and he must embark on a journey of vengeance and discovery.
Well, the discovery part, even in the end, felt a bit pointless. The main act focuses on some agency whose mission gets botched and Bourne is framed as a culprit. While the two play cat and mouse, the unpredictable yet totally uninteresting true villain watches the events unfold, not getting really invested at any point.
The story didn't necessarily drag but it didn't feel compact or as interesting as it could have been. Somehow all that the characters got up to wasn't all that important in the end, the introductions didn't go very far, and it felt like we barely got a glance at the surface of something we're yet to fully understand.
