Review of The Bourne Supremacy (2004) by Patrick M — 04 Jan 2013
...good ~ and slightly better than the first ~ certainly fast moving and action packed ~ Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) still struggles to come to terms with his past as he remains haunted by visions and nightmares of his previous life as a ruthless assassin.
Bourne is forced out of hiding when he is framed for the murder of two agents in Berlin, and embarks on a trail that will uncover the real killer. Firstly the action centres on Berlin, before moving to Moscow.
Bourne uses all his tricks to stay one step ahead of his pursuers as he slowly draws all the threads together. Pam Landy (Joan Allen), initially believing Bourne guilty of the murders, leads the team in pursuit.
The finale, in Moscow, concludes with a cracking car chase through the winter streets. The plot was good, and there was plenty to keep the viewer interested, and, as in the first film, the European backdrop gave the film added appeal.
These are good films, and Matt Damon plays the role really well.
