Review of The Bourne Supremacy (2004) by Michael B — 05 May 2012
Neither a step up or a step down from the first Bourne movie which is good because that means there both equally good. The Bourne Supremacy re-enters the shadowy world of expert assassin Jason Bourne, who continues to find himself plagued by splintered nightmares from his former life.
The stakes are now even higher for the agent as he coolly maneuvers through the dangerous waters with CIA plots, turncoat agents and ever-shifting covert alliances, all the while hoping to find the truth behind his haunted memories and answers to his own fragmented past.
So just like the first one this movie has lots of great Action scenes and very suspenseful moments, especially in the opening of this movie it starts off with a sweet car chase which ends very sad and if you haven't seen the movie yet I will not spoil why it's sad.
But anyways Matt Damon returns as Jason Bourne and of course he's better than ever. I don't know what it is but Matt Damon gets into this role very well and he just explodes on the screen. I also have to give some props to Karl Urban he plays the bad guy in this movie and honestly I have never seen Karl Urban play a bad guy before, but now seeing him in this movie I think he should start playing more bad guys in more movies because he's awesome as a villain.
So of course this Bourne movie is terrific and if you have seen all the Bourne movies you know this one is not the best out of the three, but it's still a hell of a good movie.
