Review of The Bourne Legacy (2012) by Frank C — 23 May 2013

I consider myself a casual fan of the Bourne film series; I willingly allowed myself to be whisked away on Damon's adventures as a highly-trained, amnesic super agent, and the careful pacing and tense action of the three main films proved a potent blend.

Although I like Renner as an actor, Legacy ultimately winds up feeling like a movie that didn't really need to get made. It's the same basic formula as the previous movies, but something is lost in translation from Damon to Renner, and it's not any fault of the actor or director.

Realistically, I just think cinema has had enough of this particular franchise for a while. Not bad, but not great.
