Review of The Bourne Legacy (2012) by Nick M — 22 May 2013
While the stars are good, the material they are working with is just plain bad. The problem is mostly that they make the "new" Bourne a super-hero. By that I mean he is genetically altered so that he is, technically, no longer human. What made the first series so good is that Bourne was human; a very skilled and highly-trained person, but human. He could be hurt and out-maneuvered.
There are way too many long, expository scenes in the movie. The motivations are not clearly defined and seem to change as the movie goes on. All in all, I would put this in the Skip category.
