Review of The Bourne Legacy (2012) by Jim F — 08 Jun 2013

The thing that got me into Bourne in the 1st place was the pulsating action from beginning to end. I don't recall any real action in this for the 1st hour. Just a load of me guessing why everbody keep dying of nose bleeds.

When the action finally came along, it lacked the quality of the previous movies, with too much camera movement and no clear picture as to what was taking place. I've seen this Jeremy Kyle playing parts in lots of movies prior to this, but had never recalled any dialogue to comment on as such.

. and now I know why. He mumbled his way throughout this movie. Edward Norton, a fave of mine, did not convince either. The film didn't convince because as soon as the mystery was spelt out, all the movie was about was a guy's quest to get hold of some 'blues'.

The movie had a nice bit of action during the Manila part (how I loved the choice of 'on location' action previously), but still left as though I have been conned into buying this. Saying that, it's not that I wasn't warned.

There were just a few more recent reviews giving it a little bit of credit, which I fell for.
