Don't make the mistake of expecting this to be the same as the Matt Damon films. It's a parallel movie based around the same government programme that created Bourne.
Accept that and this is a great film. It's different to the other films and is stronger for it. Jeremy Renner is a great actor and often underrated, which is a great shame as he brings great presence to the role.
If it helps - call this film "The Treadstone Legacy" to completely separate it from Bourne, but don't write this one off!
