Despite the action in this film being the "shakey-camera" kind I really detest, this is a very smart movie. A lot of action movies could learn something from the Bourne movies by focusing more on character and plot than excessive action and violence.

Yes there is some ridiculous action sequences in this film but they're all beautifully built up and gradually worked up until there's no way around it and almost always have meaning, there's a reason to fight something a stake with each one.

What I really liked about this film is how meaningful the silences are a lot of the scenes with the two leads. They are often silent and they have a relationship built up that they don't need to talk the whole time, it really fits their two characters of a killer who doesn't know who he is, and a gypsy who isn't fond of her past either.

And yet it seems you always know what they're thinking about, not super easy to do in a film. Really, really smart.
