Review of The Bourne Identity (2002) by Luke C — 27 Jun 2012
An intelligent and cult thriller that boasts a very absoring and captivating plot. It opens perfectly and gives the viewer what they need to know while still retaining lot of mystery. Matt Damon is fantastic as Jason Bourne and does a great job at fitting into the role and making it beliveable.
With all it's intelligent enigmas it finds time to serve as an action film with very entertaining and well choreographed action sequences. Overall it is a great opening to an iconic series although; it would have been better without Franka Potente.
A problem fixed and capitalised on in The Bourne Supremacy.
