Review of The Bourne Identity (2002) by Travis R — 17 Aug 2012
My Review: 6/10.

I watched The Bourne Identity again shortly after reading the book. The movie is a LOT different than the book! It's not nearly as good and way too simplistic. Other than Bourne losing his memory, being found in the water, meeting a girl and who he works for, everything else is different. I like the whole Carlos angle in book and was disappointed it was all cut from the movie. This is still a decent action movie though. The fight scenes and the Mini-Cooper chase scene are very cool.

The Bourne Identity is a good, fun action flick with lots of good fight and chase scenes. It based on a spy thriller by Robert Ludlum. I read the book a LONG time ago, so I don't remember how it compares to the movie at all...I'll have to reread it soon. There was not nearly as much spy intrigue as I was expecting. The whole story was pretty straight-forward, but it made up for it somewhat with the action scenes. I did think the ending was a little weak too.
