Review of The Bourne Identity (2002) by Brandon W — 23 Jul 2016
In preperation for the newest Bourne film coming out soon, I decided it's about time to watch the series. Starting with The Bourne Identity. I'll admit, I found this entry fairly slow. Although constantly interesting, there is a lot of down time in this film.
But what this film did do for me, is make me eager to see the next entry. This simply feels like a small piece in a bigger puzzle. Matt Damon makes a great badass and the fight scenes are crazy good. It's the type of violence where you cringe with the damage being done but laugh at the sheer madness of it.
Watch the "Pen Fight" to see what I'm talking about. There is also a believable romance between Matt Damon and Franka Potente. Other than that, I really don't have much to say. The action scenes are well done and the protagonist is a likeable badass.
Count me in for more Bourne movies!
