The Boss Baby has some nice animation, but little else. The voice acting is fine, but nothing spectacular. Alec Baldwin is good in the lead role. The animation is really nice to look at. Other than that, the movie itself is completely bonkers (and I don't mean that in a good way like I did in Valerian).
The plot is very convoluted. You question a lot about the plot when really it should just be simple. A lot of strange things happen that kids definitely won't get. Unfortunately, they weren't really funny for adults, so it just fell flat.
The cartoonish scenes will please kids, but the jokes go nowhere. Also, while the plot is very complicated, it still falls for the same old cliches every animated movie has. The plot is complicated for no reason.
Overall, this is a mediocre animated movie. Kids will like the animation, but the jokes will go over their heads. The adults will get the jokes, but they aren't funny.
