The Boss is a bit of a misfire. Despite being produced and written by the lead star and directed and co-written by her husband Ben Falcone, The Boss has a few chuckles here and there but isn't that good.
its too neat and simplified, despite the cast trying their best to make it work. Kristen Bell and Peter Dinklage are amusing, McCarthy's one note character of a rich bitch gets old real quick. This one isn't a must see if you're a fan of McCarthy, its more a rent-worthy title if that still existed.
