Review of The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (2009) by Nicole M — 09 Aug 2010
The more I think of it, the less cool the Boondock Saints is. But that's okay, really. The dialogue is pretty terrible, and it was overzealous yet again. There is gratuitous use of the word "fuck" which cheapens the movie a little bit, and the characters even acknowledge the fact.
Speaking of them, the characters are shit, why the hell are white guys portraying Mexicans...it just tries too hard again. But if it were any different, it wouldn't be The Boondock Saints. The movie wants to be clever, and it maybe could have been.
It got better towards the end, but still very corny. As I said for the original film, I liked it all the same, for all its...uncoolness.
