Review of The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day (2009) by Geoffrey T — 11 Apr 2012
This is the very definition of a bad sequel. It's a literal rehash of everything from the first film with a story obviously designed just to make a sequel but not to continue the story. The structure of the film is exactly the same, only worse.
It has absurd backstories about its characters and takes the creative aspects from the first film and does them over, signifying a great lack of originality or continuity. The actors suck, and everything great about the first movie is almost ruined by this one.
So bad acting, bad writing, self-plagiarism, story that makes no sense, Duffy's direction suddenly coming off like a 14 year old who loves classic rock and just figured out how to operate imovie, AND worst of all, it doesn't continue ANYTHING.
It's just another worthless story with morals already explored in the one before it.
