If you liked the original film, you will probably enjoy the sequel. However, in no way is it a "great" film, even in the eyes of die-hard Saints fans. The story is laughable (think exploitation film dialogue and you'll probably have an idea of what the plot will consist of).

The cast of characters is also not as entertaining or memorable in All Saints Day. The Saints are as charming as ever and the inclusion of Billy Connolly's character helps spice up the movie. The assisting cast is, however, a bore.

Julie Benz' character, while a much better sight, is just not as multi-layered or entertaining as Willem Dafoe's characterization of Paul Smecker. The inclusion of the three cops from the original film (in their best Three Stooge's impressions) straight fanfare and nothing else.

Rocco's replacement, Romeo, while entertaining, does not hold a match to the original funny man. Overall, the film was still a lot of fun to watch. Do not think too much of it. Just sit down, grab some popcorn, turn off your brain and enjoy the over-the-top yet well shot action scenes.

I just hope it doesn't take another decade to finish the trilogy. On a side note, get some help writing your scripts Troy Duffy. You have interesting, albeit somewhat cliche ideas, but it seems you have trouble condensing it all into a single, solid script.
