Review of The Boondock Saints (1999) by Judge L — 16 Mar 2014
Ten years after I first saw this film and it is still very enjoyable!
The whole non-linear storytelling was still fairly fresh and had not been done to death by the late 90's.
I stumbled across this one when it first came out on video, and being of Irish descent and a gun loving person..this was a no brainer for a rental which lead to a purchase a few years later when released on DVD.
Since those days this movie has become quite popular and I often have to laugh how it is the "cool" movie to say you like.
The acting by the main cast is fairly strong..the supporting cast on the other hand is...laughable at times....Dafoe is great as the Gay FBI agent.
For the most part Troy Duffy does a good job with the script.
Always a fun movie to go back to every few years.
3/15/14:
Still enjoyable watch...but not nearly as good as it once was.
