Review of The Book Thief (2013) by Gordon H — 15 Feb 2016
Watched this fantastic film recently with my whole family and it sparked an intense discussion about several topics dealing with WWII. I am grateful to the filmmakers for not shying away from depicting things like book-burning rallies, air-raid sirens, scared children screaming "I hate Hitler!," and digging out bodies from bombed out rubble.
This film is very well done. John Williams' score adds just the right touch to what is being depicted on screen. I really enjoyed this film and I think you will too. Just be prepared with a hanky or two.
It will bring a tear to your eye.
