Loved the book, but read it yonks ago so had forgotten much of the story (no surprises there with my crap memory). A very special story and I soaked up the film. Georgina and I were proper sobbing at the end, shoulder heaving howling.
Had to compose ourselves before leaving. Suspect it will stay with me for a while, a bit like poor Kristin Scott whatshername in that cave in an English Patient. Lovely turn by Geoffrey Rush and the little lad who played Rudy.
Loved it.
