Review of The Book of Life (2014) by Anthony D — 11 Jul 2015
Visually impressive. Complex characters. Fable story. All the makings of something great. Unfortunately, like many classic fables, this story lacks the details to provide what it promises. The audience can't appreciate it because they are distracted by plot holes and a misunderstanding of the culture.
Also, I wish they had more Mexican talent in the cast. Still, it's an admirable effort and certainly entertains.
