The Book of Life is completely stuffed to overflowing with every cheesy cliché that's ever dribbled out of Hollywood - and nothing else. No subtlety, nothing unexpected, just sole destroying tedium from beginning to end.

You may think that the artwork will bring you some respite but the script is a pie in the face that cannot be ignored unless you mute the sound and add your own dialogue.
