Review of The Book of Life (2014) by Nathan E — 08 Feb 2015
A very imaginative feast for the eyes. Nothing strenuous or revolutionary as far as story goes, but that doesn't matter. Everything is wonderful: character design, art direction, voice talent. Ice Cube was particularly wonderful and hilarious as the Candlemaker. It's a great little movie.
This was a story about unconditional love, patience and grace - and how all those ideas compliment each other. Also touched on is the where the real strength of a man comes from.
