Review of The Book of Henry (2017) by Stewart F — 23 Oct 2017

I absolutely loved the plot, I rooted for this movie until the very end, hoping they will do it justice. Unfortunately we have a great plot and a great cast paired with horrendous scriptwriting and even worse directing.

For the most part I was confused in regards to the genre which shifts several times. I have taken this as an ambitious gamble, but I don't think it played out as intended. Trevorrow is not the best director out there, but he wouldn't come off as THIS bad had he been able to stay away from the current fad in Hollywood of overplaying and overdoing every single aspect of a picture.
