Review: This film set in a post apocalyptic future world is one of Denzel Washingtons best films. Its great how the first 10 minutes of the movie is based on Eli (Washington) and how he survives and lives in this apocalyptic world. The cinematography is great in the movie is quite noir with its surrondings and the world its set in. Gary Oldman plays the villain of the movie who runs a small town and crosses bath with Eli (Washington) and I think does a very good job as the villain and reminds me of some of his earlier work when he played great villainous roles in movies so it was good seing him go back to that. Mila Kunis plays Solara very well and at the end looks a bit like Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. The music of the film is also great and goes well with the atmosphere, plot and the world itself. The film has a great meaning and its very cleverly done but I wont say as it will spoil the film. Overall good cast, good atmosphere, good set pieces, well filmed and good cinematography, I think its one of the most underated films ive seen in a long time. I give the film 5 out of 5 stars and is a personal favourite Denzel Washington film of mine.
