Review of The Book of Eli (2010) by Andy S — 06 Apr 2012
I have been really anticipating seeing this. To say I liked it seems awkward as I almost feel like the film is still gestating in my brain. Some questions linger in my mind and the film haunts me. I will definitely desire to re-visit the film, especially re-watching knowing a certain truth revealed at the end.
The action scenes are brutal and satisfying. More than anything I love the passion the character Eli has to complete his "mission from God". As usual Denzel is great. I love the man. Fantastic atmospheric music score.
Mila Kunis is even tolerable for a change.
