Review of The Book of Eli (2010) by Ricardo P — 02 Nov 2012

A good movie based on a strong premise - though not to everyone's taste. The cast is good - and bizarre. The story has comic book clarity and worked for me - a more jazzy, fantasy take on McCarthy's "The Road".

But, for me, it is the evocation of a post-apocalypse America that won me over - nothing new here, admittedly - still, the gritty logic of politics and economy made sense to me...
