Review of The Boogens (1981) by Katie T — 20 Dec 2014
It starts off so promising, building up the setting, characters, and tension right away. Then, about 30 minutes in the movie slows down to a snail's pace as we get tons of characterization for characters we already knew well enough for about 40 minutes. The middle portion of this movie drags and kills what was otherwise a really promising monster movie.
As far as the monsters, they're cute, muppet-like things that belong in an enjoyable bad movie, but I was so bored by the time they showed up. Could have been better, and that's what makes this disappointing.
