If you force yourself to stop comparing it to the book, it's not completely terrible, it's even pretty funny. Bruce Willis and his on-screen narration nevertheless are distracting and annoying, Melanie Griffith is terrible, and Tom Hanks is better than I expected.
The scenes are all well shot and the locations are accurate. Amusing movie, sub-par adaptation.
