Review of The Bone Collector (1999) by Alisa S — 09 Sep 2009
All in all the Bone Collector was a decent movie, however it had a few gaps. The acting was superb, the plot had red herrings, and the characters were all developed. Well, except for the murderer. If the movie's goal was to leave you in suspense of who it was by leaving very few clues, then they missed the bar here too.
The murderer was truly unconvincing; this is not a good thing for a serial killer, the bookstore clerk seemed more likely than their choice, even the man in the store already seemed better. This movie, however, is perfect for those who want a movie to keep their mind busy, because all of the clues are visual little things that are subtly placed for you to pick up.
If I could, I would give this a 55%.
