John Landis made a pretty good movie based on the SNL skit The Blues Brothers with John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd reprising their roles from SNL! It had a good and funny story to it and a lot of great R&B numbers with some allstar musicians like James Brown, Aretha Franklin, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, and Cab Calloway.
It also was cool to see some cameos from Pee Wee Herman and Steven Spielberg. The Blues Brothers is one of the best SNL skit based movies ever made!
