The Blues Brothers is hilarious; the musical numbers are fantastic, the story is ridiculous and simple, and the numerous cameos are a lot of fun. It drags a bit in parts, especially the climactic car chase, which is funny to a point but then gets tiring.
The deadpan line deliveries and casual stoicism garner a lot of laughs.
